Compensation & Benefits SpecialistThe Compensation & Benefits Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day administration of all benefits and retirement programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, and 401(k) plan and accurately processes payroll on a weekly basis.Payroll ProcessingProcess weekly payroll accurately and in a timely manner.Inputs and reviews payroll data to ensure accuracy of earnings, deductions, and adjustments.Process wage garnishments and child support orders in compliance with applicable laws.Review and update employee tax information as needed.Assist in identifying and resolving payroll discrepancies.Respond to employee payroll-related questions in a timely manner.Timekeeping SupportMaintain the timekeeping system and assist with troubleshooting issues.Provide guidance to employees and managers on timecard entry and approvals.Monitor timecard approvals and send reminders as needed.Review approved timecards for accuracy and follow up on discrepancies.HRIS & Data AccuracyPerform routine audits of employee data in HRIS and payroll systems.Ensure accurate entry and maintenance of employee records.Reporting (Paycor)Generate standard payroll and HR reports from Paycor.Support ad hoc reporting requests.Review reports for accuracy and flag discrepancies for correction.Maintain organized records of payroll and benefits reports.Benefits SupportAssist with benefits enrollment and ensure data accuracy in the HRIS.Support open enrollment activities and employee communications.Monitor EDI feeds and perform weekly audits to ensure accurate benefit data transmission.Respond to employee questions regarding benefits and escalate complex issues as needed.Assist in reconciling benefit invoices with enrollment data.Retirement & Additional ProgramsProcess weekly 401(k) contributions and loan repayments.Administers the tuition reimbursement program.Employee SupportParticipate in new hire orientation.Provide general support to employees regarding payroll and benefits processes.What You Will BringWorking knowledge of payroll laws and regulations (FLSA basics, tax withholdings, etc.)Strong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to handle confidential information appropriatelyGood organizational and time management skillsStrong customer service and communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Teams, and PowerPointAbility to troubleshoot and resolve discrepanciesEducation & ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED required.Associate's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field preferred.Minimum of 13 years of payroll, accounting, or HR support experience required.Experience processing payroll using an HRIS or payroll system (e.g., Paycor or similar)What We OfferCompetitive compensationMedical, Dental and Life Insurance Benefits day 1401k Match
