*Job Overview*
The Integrity Technician supports pipeline integrity and corrosion-control activities throughout the Eagle Ford operating area. This is a hands-on field position responsible for performing cathodic protection (CP) work, corrosion monitoring, pipeline inspections, ultrasonic testing, coating activities, pipeline locating, and other integrity-related tasks.
*Responsibilities*
* Perform cathodic protection surveys, including pipe-to-soil readings, close interval surveys (CIS), and other CP testing.
* Inspect, test, maintain, and troubleshoot cathodic protection systems and rectifiers.
* Perform DCVG, ACVG, interference, electrical isolation, soil resistivity, and other corrosion-related testing.
* Perform ultrasonic (UT) wall-thickness measurements and evaluate pipeline corrosion and pitting.
* Monitor internal and external corrosion using coupons, probes, samples, and other inspection methods.
* Perform pipeline coating inspections, surface preparation, coating application, and holiday detection.
* Locate underground pipelines using electromagnetic locating equipment and GPS/electronic mapping systems.
* Verify depth of cover and install or maintain pipeline markers.
* Conduct right-of-way patrols, leak surveys, and pipeline inspections.
* Support inline inspection (ILI), pig launching/receiving, and other pipeline integrity activities as needed.
* Maintain accurate field documentation, inspection records, and regulatory compliance documentation.
* Coordinate with operations, maintenance personnel, contractors, and other field personnel.
* Follow all company safety requirements and exercise Stop Work Authority when unsafe conditions are identified.
* Participate in callouts and work nights or weekends when required for pipeline or integrity response situations.
*Requirements*
* *Current NACE/AMPP CP1 certification required.*
* 5+ years of experience in pipeline integrity, cathodic protection, corrosion control, or a closely related pipeline field role.
* Strong hands-on experience performing cathodic protection surveys and troubleshooting CP systems.
* Experience with pipe-to-soil readings, rectifiers, CIS, DCVG/ACVG, electrical isolation, and other CP testing methods.
* Experience with ultrasonic wall-thickness testing (UT/NDT) and corrosion measurement.
* Experience with pipeline coating inspection and application.
* Experience locating underground pipelines using electromagnetic locating equipment and GPS/electronic mapping.
* Knowledge of pipeline integrity, corrosion-control practices, and applicable pipeline safety requirements.
* Current Operator Qualifications (OQs) related to CP, corrosion, NDT/UT, coatings, and pipeline activities preferred.
* Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and field testing equipment.
* Ability to maintain accurate field and regulatory documentation.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and assist in leading other team members or contractors.
* Valid driver's license required.
* High school diploma or equivalent required.
* Must be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions and rough terrain.
* Must be available for overtime, callouts, nights, and weekends as operational needs require.
