HVAC Technician

What You'll Work On
Our HVAC/R Technicians support a wide range of equipment and systems, including:
Commercial refrigeration systems
Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment
Food service and kitchen equipment
Beverage systems
Plumbing systems
Electrical and lighting systems
General facility maintenance and repairs
No two days are the same. You'll have the opportunity to develop expertise across multiple trades while supporting a network of high-volume retail locations.
What You'll Do
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC/R systems and commercial kitchen equipment
Diagnose refrigeration and air conditioning issues
Perform preventive maintenance to maximize equipment reliability
Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
Repair lighting, electrical, plumbing, drywall, flooring, and other building components
Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to emergency service needs
Deliver outstanding service that keeps our stores operating efficiently
What We're Looking For
Identify refrigeration components and understand refrigeration cycles
Understand air conditioning fundamentals, thermostat operation, and control wiring
Read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
Use electrical testing equipment and meters safely and accurately
Operate an Oxy-Acetylene torch
Perform brazing and soldering repairs
Properly use gauge manifolds and perform refrigerant recovery procedures
Work independently while maintaining a strong focus on safety and quality
Qualifications
2 years of HVAC/R, restaurant equipment service, plumbing, or electrical experience OR 2 years of formal technical training in a related field
EPA Section 608 Universal Certification required
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Ability to read and understand technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams
Valid driver's license with a safe driving record
Willingness to work overtime, as business demands and participate in an on-call rotation
