IT Procurement AnalystChicago, ILHybrid Role (approximately 1 day/week onsite)$40 - $50 per hour (Contract, Full-time, 40 hours/week)About The RoleOur client is seeking a detail-oriented IT Procurement Analyst to support the daily procurement, asset management, and expense management activities within a global IT organization. This contract, full-time role is based in Chicago, IL, with a hybrid work arrangement requiring approximately one day per week onsite. The IT Procurement Analyst will collaborate closely with IT, Accounting, and internal business teams to ensure technology purchases, invoices, orders, assets, and related expenses are accurately processed and tracked throughout their lifecycle. This is a hands-on, operational role focused on process execution and asset tracking, rather than technical support or contract negotiation. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting IT procurement, purchasing, IT asset management, inventory management, or technology expense management, and will play a key role in maintaining accurate records, controlling technology spend, and supporting process improvements.What You'll DoSupport day-to-day IT procurement activities for hardware, software, devices, services, and other technology purchasesProcess purchase requests, requisitions, purchase orders, invoices, and related procurement documentationPlace and track technology orders, ensuring accurate and timely deliveryFollow up with vendors and internal teams regarding outstanding orders, invoices, payments, and delivery statusPartner with Accounting and internal stakeholders to research and resolve invoice, PO, receiving, and payment discrepanciesMonitor and manage a centralized procurement request queue/inbox, ensuring requests and follow-ups are addressed appropriatelyMaintain accurate IT asset and inventory records, including device information, serial numbers, assignment, location, status, and lifecycle updatesSupport receiving, deployment, return, replacement, repair, warranty, and decommissioning processes from an asset-tracking perspectiveAssist with device and technology expense management, helping the organization understand what devices/assets it has, where they are located or assigned, and what associated costs are being incurredReview asset, inventory, usage, and expense information to identify discrepancies, unused assets/services, unnecessary spend, or areas where costs may be increasingHelp reconcile technology assets and inventory against invoices, expenses, and internal records to ensure the organization is not paying for devices or services that are no longer needed or in useSupport mobile/wireless asset and expense tracking as needed, including maintaining visibility into corporate devices, associated usage, and expensesMaintain and update information within procurement, ITSM, asset management, and financial systemsAssist with procurement process documentation, reporting, and ongoing process improvementsSupport additional contract, renewal, and budget administration activities as neededWhat You Bring2+ years of experience in IT/technology procurement, purchasing, IT asset management, technology operations, or a closely related functionHands-on experience with procurement processes (purchase requests, requisitions, purchase orders, invoicing, order tracking, receiving, and/or vendor follow-up)Experience tracking IT assets, hardware, devices, inventory, or other technology equipment throughout its lifecycleUnderstanding of the relationship between asset/inventory data and technology expenses, with the ability to identify discrepancies and maintain accurate recordsExperience working within procurement, ERP, ITSM, asset management, inventory, or financial systemsStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple requests, priorities, and follow-ups simultaneouslyStrong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate procurement and asset recordsComfortable working cross-functionally with IT, Accounting/Finance, internal business teams, and external suppliersPreferred: Experience with device expense management, wireless/telecom expense management, or technology expense managementPreferred: Experience tracking corporate mobile devices, laptops, tablets, wireless assets, or other end-user technologyPreferred: Experience reviewing device inventory, usage, invoices, and expenses to identify unused assets/services or unnecessary spendPreferred: Experience with platforms such as Freshservice, ServiceNow, Coupa, SAP, Oracle, or comparable procurement/ITSM/ERP systemsPreferred: Experience supporting procurement or IT operations within a large corporate, professional services, or legal environmentDisclaimerBrooksource, Medasource, and Calculated Hire are part of the Eight Eleven Group family of companies and operate under Eight Eleven Group, LLC.
