This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating educational programs for nursing staff to ensure high-quality resident care, compliance with regulations, and professional development. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background, a passion for teaching, and excellent communication skills.Essential Job Functions:Staff Training & Development: Design and deliver orientation programs, ongoing education, and competency assessments for nursing staff.Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that staff education aligns with state and federal regulations, as well as facility policies and best practices.Clinical Guidance: Provide hands-on training and mentorship to enhance clinical skills, critical thinking, and patient care practices.Quality Improvement: Collaborate with leadership to identify areas for improvement and implement evidence-based training programs.Continuing Education: Keep staff updated on the latest healthcare practices, infection control protocols, and advancements in geriatric care.Resident-Centered Care: Promote a culture of compassionate, person-centered care through education and role modeling.Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of staff training, certifications, and performance evaluations.Collaboration: Work closely with nursing leadership, interdisciplinary teams, and external educators to enhance staff development.Qualifications:Registered Nurse (RN) license (active and in good standing) Minimum 2-3 years of nursing experience in a long-term care or geriatric setting. Previous experience in staff education, training, or leadership is preferred. Strong communication, presentation, and leadership skills. Working knowledge of regulatory standards.
