Sales Trader - Renewable Fuels

We are seeking a highly motivated sales trader or broker with proven experience trading biofuels, either physical or the renewable attributes (LCFS, OCFP, WCFS, RINs etc.).This opportunity will allow you to apply all best practices and to deliver quick results in market segments you are familiar with, with a lot of room for ideas and initiative to scale our presence further while capturing the full PnL upside.About usOTC Flow is a leading environmental commodity trading company that has been rapidly expanding its global presence within the environmental commodities markets of the last decades. Our network of partners is ever-growing and includes major actors across the entire renewable energy value chain.About the roleIn your role as a Sales Trader, your main focus will be to build and extend your own client portfolio by closing transactions within the Californian renewable fuel space. Taking initiative is highly valued at OTC Flow, where acting on own ideas for growth within your market segment will be incentivized.OTC Flow acts as intermediary within over-the-counter markets so you will actively engage in outreach and prospecting through cold calling and client meetings. Your success in this role will rely on your ability to connect with clients both verbally and in writing as all transactions are bespoke and tailor-made.We are specifically seeking experienced commercial profiles with a proven track record of originating and trading LCFS credits withing the Californian market.Main Responsibilities:Be responsible for achieving your own trading revenue ("PnL");Continuous sourcing and developing of quality leads;Proactively build your client portfolio through direct prospecting via cold calling and networking events, leveraging your exceptional communication skills;Identify trade opportunities and support in executing them, from origination until closing, with complete freedom to negotiate on pricing and to dictate all deal terms;Provide daily pricing and insights into your market, both internally as well as towards your clients, hereby establishing yourself as expert in your field;About youBachelor's degree or higher in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field;Very motivated person, being proactive, resilient, and highly ambitious;Exceptional communication skills and able to quickly make interpersonal connections;Strong drive to close deals and create impactful results for both yourself, your clients and OTC Flow;Minimal 3 year's experience in B2B sales, brokerage, trading or similar client-facing roles where cold outreach was at the core of your responsibilities;Extensive network across the US-wide biofuel markets, including but not limited to producers, importers, refiners and blenders of both fossil fuels as well as biofuels;Proven experience and track record of trading within the Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS) space and/or EPA RIN market is an absolute must.
