Overview
As Aerospace Modeling & Simulation Software Engineer, you design, develop, and maintain software tools for aerospace modeling, simulation, and data visualization to support space, airborne, and ISR sensor studies. You work with engineers and customers to translate mission needs into software solutions and build scalable, modular architectures. You will enhance high-fidelity simulators, data pipelines, and analysis workflows, driving performance and usability improvements. This role sits at the intersection of software engineering and mission-driven aerospace work, contributing to future systems and architectures.

ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, test, and maintain software tools for aerospace modeling, simulation, mission analysis, and data visualizationAdd features to high-fidelity simulators for space, airborne, and ISR sensor systemsCreate modular, reusable software architectures and integrate with existing toolsDevelop scripts, APIs, and data pipelines to support scenario generation, simulation, post-processing, and reportingCollaborate with aerospace engineers, analysts, and customers to translate objectives into software requirementsBuild data processing and visualization workflows for large datasetsImprove simulator performance, maintainability, and automationPerform debugging, verification, validation, and QA/QC of tools and resultsApply modern software engineering practices: version control, testing, documentation, code reviews, configuration managementCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams while owning independent tasks
Key requirementsU.S. citizenship with an active or current TS/SCI clearanceBachelor’s degree in a technical field (as listed)5 years of experience developing software for engineering, modeling/simulation, data analysis, or mission analysisProficiency in Python, C++, Java, C#, MATLAB, JavaScript, or similar languagesFamiliarity with aerospace, space, airborne systems, ISR missions, sensors, or simulation environmentsWillingness to work on-siteCollaboration with multidisciplinary teamsAbility to translate mission needs into technical solutionsAnalytical mindset and problem solvingPython, C++, Java, C#, MATLAB, JavaScriptData processing and visualizationAPIs, modular software architectures, plugin-based capabilities
