Job TypeFull-timeDescriptionSUMMARYLooking for an outgoing and competitive Business Development Representative to join our storage & handling division. Weare seeking a persuasive and independent individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, natural at buildingrelationships, and hunting/prospecting. In addition, they will be problem solvers with an instinct for identifying value-addedsolutions for our customers.JOB DESCRIPTIONAs a front-line leader of our sales team, the Business Development Representative (BDR) will help drive our sales strategyand performance. The BDR will be a strategic position for expanding our customer base, reaching out to prospects toanalyze their storage needs and present solutions for improving their product flow.The BDR will work cooperatively with sales consultants to create new customers and exceed monthly sales goals forqualified sales opportunities. The primary product focus will be our suite of pallet racking offerings selling to manufacturing,warehousing, and logistics customers. The BDR role is responsible for prospecting and developing qualified leads via fieldprospecting, phone, email, and social with B2B clients to drive company growth and exceed sales targets.Responsibilities:Articulate AFL value to prospective clients.Partner with sales consultants to generate qualified pipeline that exceeds our sales goals.Respond to inbound inquiries and develop interest into qualified sales opportunities.Become an expert on lead generation tools to create accurate and targeted lists of prospects and call plans.Act as a trusted advisor for prospects delivering industry knowledge and guidance.Contribute to the successful creation and execution of marketing campaigns that lead to new business.Become an industry insider, providing insight and feedback of changes in material handling and competitors.Perform market analysis to gain understanding of assigned territories, strategic accounts, and most importantly understand buying trends.Qualifications: 1 year minimum sales experienceDrive and willingness to learn material handling, warehouse operations, and logistics processes.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.Goal-oriented and self-motivated with a focus on achieving sales targets.Must have drive to become a sales professional with a "Hunting" mentalityAbility to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Using a CRM system, preferably Microsoft Dynamics is a plusExcellent communication skillsMicrosoft Office Requirements SKILLS/RESPONSIBILITIESDemonstrate good leadership and decision making skillsWork effectively and interact with multiple levels within our organizationExcellent oral and written communication, organization and presentation skillsGood knowledge of Microsoft Business ProgramsAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentCompetitive spirit WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS1 year sales experience in B2B salesMaterial handling experience preferred EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION/LICENSE REQUIREMENTSBachelor's degree in business related field (or equivalent experience)Must have a current unrestricted driver's license in good standingWORK CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDSThis position is in a field and an office setting where the noise level is generally quiet to sometimes moderate if workingnear shop areas. Employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; and reach with hands and arms. Employee musthave normal manual dexterity and be able to effectively manipulate keyboard and phone. Employee must occasionally liftand/or move up to 25 pounds.
