We are a 32 bed Cardiac/Pulmonary Unit with Hospitalists /APPs 24/7. Also included in our staff mix are Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Respiratory Therapists, and Patient Care Technicians. Typical nurse to patient ratio is 1:4/ 1:5. 4 South32 Beds- Arrythmia Managemento Cardioversiono Pharmacologic Managemento Tikosyn Loading- Management of titratable Cardiac dripso Amiodarone, Milrinone, Cardizem, Bumex, Heparin, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Lasix, Nitroglycerine- Management of Bipap- Telemetry Monitoring- Management of High-Flow- Management of post intra-cardiac defibrillator and pacemaker placement- Post Cardiac-catherization Careo TR Band Management- DKA managemento Glucommander and titratable Insulin drip Responsibilities: The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care for patients. He/she functions within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growth and accountability. The staff nurse is responsible for maintaining standards of practice, coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care.
