We believe in being the best at what we do—while being kind, accountable, and dedicated to nurturing potential in every employee.Position Summary The Civil Crew plays a critical role in supporting TCE's telecom construction projects, including new tower builds, modifications, and site development. This hands-on team is responsible for ground preparation, concrete work, trenching, conduit installation, grounding, and general site cleanup. Civil Crew Members work closely with Tower, Electrical, and RF teams to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and to TCE's quality standards.Key Responsibilities Assist with the installation and construction of tower foundations, shelters, and site compoundsOperate hand and power tools, skid steers, mini excavators, trenchers, and other construction equipmentPerform concrete forming, pouring, and finishingInstall conduits, grounding systems, rebar cages, and fencing as directedLoad, unload, and organize materials, tools, and equipment at job sitesMaintain a clean and safe work environment, following TCE's safety procedures and OSHA standardsWork collaboratively with crew members and supervisors to complete daily tasks efficientlyTravel to job sites across Texas and neighboring states as required (overnight stays may be necessary)Report equipment issues, hazards, or site concerns promptly to the Civil ForemanRequirements:Requirements Qualifications Experience: 1–3 years of general construction or civil telecom work preferredEducation: High school diploma or equivalentCertifications: OSHA 10 (required or ability to obtain); First Aid/CPR and CDL a plusSkills: Basic understanding of concrete, grading, and underground utilitiesAbility to read site plans and follow construction drawingsStrong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skillsAbility to safely operate light and heavy equipmentWillingness to travel and work outdoors in various weather conditionsPhysical Requirements Ability to lift up to 75 lbs regularlyFrequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbingComfortable working in outdoor environments for extended periodsWhy Join TCE Competitive pay based on experienceTravel per diem and paid lodging for overnight projectsEXCELLENT Health, dental, and vision insuranceCompany-paid life and disability benefitsPaid time off and holidaysCareer growth opportunities in tower, electrical, and project management tracksA supportive, family-oriented team culture that values safety, integrity, and excellenceMust haves:Ability to work with advanced hand/power tools and alignment toolsAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitudeAbility to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard best practicesBasic computer skillsMust be RF Awareness, CPR/FIRST AID, OSHA 10, Comtrain (or equivalent) certifiedMust be able to travel away from home for 3 - 6 weeks at a timeValid Driver's License with a clean driving recordMust have basic hand tools, full climbing gear, boots, work clothes, PPEWillingness to use TCE's systems and processes, including GPS enabled time-card systemPreferred:Experience with all major carriers (TMOBILE, Verizon, AT&T)NWSA TT1, TT2RiggingKnowledge and experience using test Equipment, ODM, PIM, Anritsu, OTDRAbility to read SA and other paperworkAbility to operate truck and trailerPhysical Requirements:Must be able to climb and work on the towers, poles, buildings (no fear of heights)Must be able to lift and carry at least 70 poundsMust be able to perform the essential job functions safely and successfullyMust be able to work in inclement weather (snow, rain, heat, high winds, etc.), long hours and variety of shifts (including night work)Must be able to pass ongoing drug screen testing
