Digital Hardware Design EngineerLocation: Scottsdale, ArizonaType: ContractJob #87711Our DoD/Aerospace client is looking to fill a Digital Hardware Design Engineer position that just opened in Scottsdale, AZ. In this role, you will support the development of secure, mission-critical hardware used in tactical and defense communication systems. To be considered, you will have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related STEM field plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience (or a Master's degree with 3 years of experience). U.S. citizenship is required due to the nature of the work.Location: Scottsdale, AZ - onsitePosition: Digital Hardware Design EngineerContract: 12 months with possibility of going directPay: $58.38/hourSchedule: First /Second ShiftCLEARANCE: Department of Defense Secret security clearance must be obtainable.In this role you will use your technical and interpersonal skills to:Design and develop digital hardware for tactical and defense communication systemsPerform schematic capture and PCB/PWB layout for digital subsystemsWork with ARM processors, microcontrollers, and high-speed memory interfaces (DDR3, DDR4, LPDDR4)Design and integrate digital interfaces such as I2C, SPI, and SDIOSupport hardware bring-up, debug, and verification using laboratory test equipmentCollaborate with software, mechanical, manufacturing, and test engineering teamsSupport the full product lifecycle including design for manufacturing and design for testQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related STEM field requiredMinimum of 5 years of relevant experience; ORMaster's degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experienceU.S. citizenship is requiredClearance Requirements:Secret clearance obtainableApplicants selected may be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified informationKnowledge Skills And Abilities:Digital schematic capture and PCB/PWB layout experienceExperience with high-speed digital design and memory interfacesProficiency with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analyzersExperience with Siemens Xpedition or similar EDA toolsStrong understanding of hardware development lifecycle (DFM/DFT)Knowledge of signal integrity and power integrity analysisStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsAbility to collaborate across cross-functional engineering teamsExperience mentoring or supporting junior engineers is a plusAbout our client:Our client is a mission critical DoD - Aerospace defense contractor developing solutions that will lead, serve, and protect our country.
