Job Summary:The Full-time Test Development Professional is responsible for facilitating test development, validation, and related functions (e.g., item review, editing, quality control) for constructed and/or selected response test development activities. The successful applicant will also contribute to methodology; process design and improvement; and other internal initiatives as needed. This role requires up to 50% travel, including some weekends.Job Description:Essential Functions/ResponsibilitiesCreate, contribute to, and review materials for test development activitiesFacilitate in-person and virtual test development activities including:Job task, practice, or domain analysisBlueprint developmentContent development, including selected response and constructed response itemsContent validation, alignment, and judgmental bias review activitiesStandard setting workshops (e.g., Angoff, Hofstee, Bookmark, Contrasting Groups)Other workshops or meetings (e.g., assessment literacy, focus groups)Create, contribute to, and review technical reports of completed workContribute to scoping and analysis of SOWDevelop and maintain strong client relationshipsLead or assist in disseminating completed work to clients through presentations or Q&AContribute to design and execution of quality control activitiesParticipate in and contribute to project retrospectivesCommunicate issues or concerns about potential scope creep to Program ManagerRecognize and escalate upsell opportunitiesIdentify and pursue opportunities to partner with clients on presentations at industry conferencesEffectively identify internal and external client needs and communicate solutions through clear and concise written and verbal modesCompetenciesExcellent collaboration, communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and negotiation skillsExcellent presentation skills (in-person and virtual)Excellent critical, strategic, analytical thinking, time management, and problem resolution skillsExcellent relationship-building skillsAbility to lead, manage, and work effectively in a virtual environmentWorking knowledge of Microsoft OfficeSupervisory Responsibility This position has no supervisory responsibilitiesTravel Up to 50%Required Education and ExperienceBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience3+ year’s experience working as a facilitator, teacher, educator, or trainerPreferred Education and Experience3+ years of experience in the testing industry
