Job TitleSenior Salesforce EngineerDepartmentIntegrationsPosition DescriptionThe Senior Salesforce Engineer owns technical delivery end to end — translating business requirements into secure, high-performing architectures and driving solutions from concept through production. This role serves as a trusted technical advisor and informal team leader, bringing structure to planning and delivery processes, mentoring junior developers, and establishing development standards. The ideal candidate operates with a high degree of autonomy, balancing immediate delivery needs with long-term system health, and continuously grows both their technical depth and leadership capabilities to elevate overall team effectiveness.Duties & ResponsibilitiesTechnical DeliveryDesign and build scalable Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flow, and APIsDevelop and maintain integrations with external systems using REST/SOAP, middleware, and event-driven patternsOwn data model design, security configuration, and performance optimizationTroubleshoot and resolve complex platform issuesIdentify opportunities to improve system efficiency, reliability, and automation through continuous optimizationArchitecture & PlanningContribute to architectural decisions in collaboration with senior team membersTranslate business requirements into clear technical approaches and actionable delivery plansDrive decisions that balance immediate priorities with system stability, scalability, and technical debt reductionProject & Stakeholder ManagementOwn initiatives end to end, proactively managing timelines, risks, and dependencies without reliance on a dedicated project managerBring structure and clarity to how work is planned, tracked, and communicated across the teamServe as a trusted technical advisor, influencing decisions through expertise and sound judgmentTeam Leadership & GrowthMentor junior developers and contribute to development standards and best practicesContinuously expand technical and leadership capabilities to improve team delivery outcomesEducation & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience5–10+ years of Salesforce development experienceAdvanced proficiency with Apex, LWC, Salesforce declarative tools, and platform servicesExperience building integrations using REST/SOAP APIs and event-driven approachesDemonstrated ability to independently organize, plan, and deliver technical work from concept through productionSolid understanding of Salesforce data model, security model, and governor limitsProven experience in Agile environments, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, estimation, and release cycles (e.g., Jira)Ability to break down and communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersSalesforce certifications strongly preferred (Platform Developer I/II, App Builder, or similar)Experience with Snowflake, CloverDX, or similar data/integration platformsExposure to AI-enabled solutions or automation initiativesRen is an equal employment opportunity employer.
