Warehouse/Delivery Driver - Days

We have been part of the Nippon Sheet Glass (NSG) group since 2006.Come start your CAREER with Pilkington NSG Group, a power brand and industry leader that trains, develops our team be ready for promotions and growth!This will be 50/50 Warehouse/Driver PositionEssential Functions:Delivers glass to customers promptlyDevelops and maintains good customer relations on delivery at all timesDevelops and maintains positive local work environmentReceives glass shipments and unpacks incoming trucks at warehouseWorks closely with the lead person to achieve a high level of complete customer serviceLocates required parts in warehouse and removes from stockVisually inspects glass and loads parts accurately on the truck for delivery from warehouseUnload delivery truck and process returns dailyStocks the warehouse, putting parts in their assigned racksChecks inventory to maintain its accuracyReceives orders from warehouse officeComplies with all safety policies and proceduresAssists local management in maintaining inventory system accuracy through cycle and physical inventory instructionsAssists local management in coordinating driver delivery routesLocates and pulls product for will-call customers and completes necessary paperwork for proof of pick-upPerforms other related duties, as assignedQualifications Required:Proficiency in English language (verbal and written)Valid driver's license, good driving record, and an ability to read mapsAbility to lift 35-45 pounds on a frequent basis and on occasion up to 70 poundsAbility to operate a forklift, order picker, and basic hand toolsExcellent attendance requiredGood customer relations skills - Client interaction requiredAbility to work in temperatures similar to the outdoors within the area of the assigned Service CenterQualifications Desired:Personal Computer skills including computerized inventory systemPrevious driving, material handling, and glass experienceHigh school diploma or equivalent (GED) - preferred by not requiredPrevious commercial driving experience preferred but not required (2-years minimum)BenefitsMedical, Dental, Vision 401(k) Match ProgramEmployee Assistance Plan at no additional costEducational AssistanceWork Shoe/Boot ProgramPrescription Safety Glasses ProgramCompany Paid Holidays - Seven (7) Holidays plus Four (4) Floating HolidaysPaid VacationLife Insurance at no costPilkington Employee Advantage DiscountsAnnual IncreaseHours: 830am-5pm Monday-Friday Pay Range: $21.00-22.05 per hour - depending on experienceWe require a pre-employment criminal background check, a physical and drug screen.NSG Group/Pilkington is an equal opportunity employer; M/F/D/V encouraged to apply.
