JOIN OUR TEAM AS A MENTAL HEALTH TECHNICIAN (MHT)!Your Work Matters How will you make a difference?We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Mental Health Technician to join our team at Hendricks Behavioral Hospital!As a Mental Health Technician (MHT), you'll be an integral part of our treatment team, providing continuous care, supervision, and positive role modeling to patients across various age groups from adolescents to geriatrics. Working under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, you'll contribute to creating a therapeutic environment that fosters patient support and well-being.Accurately record vital signsExercise judgment in patient interactions and report changes to the RNFollow therapeutic interventions outlined by the treatment team and provide information for development and revisionEmploy crisis-intervention techniques, conduct MHT-led groups, and use facility-approved CPI techniquesAssist patients through discharge, guide in adjusting to life changes, and help with personal hygieneComply with policies for a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment, practicing universal precautions and responding to patient care priorities.Your Experience Matters What we're looking for:* Education: High School Degree or equivalent preferred; Certified Nursing or NAR required; Degree from an accredited college or university in social work, recreational therapy, psychology, human services, or appropriate therapeutic discipline preferred.* Experience: One year of related experience, with a knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques with an understanding of mental illness, preferred.Your Care Matters What we provide for our team:401(k) + matchingHealth insurance100% company-paid life insurance coverage up to 2x your annual salaryVision insuranceDental insurance100% company-paid long-term disability insurancePaid time offPaid HolidaysCafeteria on siteEmployee engagement eventsEmployee assistance programEmployee recognition programFree parkingDisclaimer: Select benefits are available to full-time positions only.
