Senior Business Development Manager (Law Firm)Location: Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, or Newark, NJ office (Hybrid – 1 day per week in office)A national law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Business Development Manager to partner closely with senior leaders and client-facing professionals to drive strategic growth initiatives. This role plays a key advisory function—helping translate business objectives into actionable development strategies that increase visibility, revenue, and client engagement across offices and practice areas.This is a highly collaborative position for a strategic thinker who thrives in a fast-paced, relationship-driven environment and enjoys working directly with senior stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as a trusted advisor to local offices, practice leaders, and senior professionals on client and business development strategyCollaborate with office and practice leadership to design and execute growth plans with clear goals, metrics, and timelinesIdentify, qualify, and manage new business opportunities from initial lead through proposal, pitch, and decision stagesLead opportunity strategy, including competitive intelligence, value proposition development, and proposal coordinationSupport and educate professionals on business development best practices through training, coaching, and tailored resourcesPartner with internal teams (analytics, knowledge management, communications, etc.) to assess market trends and identify growth opportunitiesProvide strategic direction for regional events, sponsorships, seminars, and conference participationBuild and maintain relationships with industry associations, professional organizations, and educational institutions to expand visibility and referral sourcesContribute to the development and refinement of marketing and client development materialsSupport firmwide business development initiatives and cross-office strategic projectsAssist with onboarding and mentoring within the business development functionPotentially oversee and mentor junior business development staffQualificationsProven ability to build strong relationships with senior professionals and stakeholdersStrategic, proactive mindset with the confidence to recommend alternative approaches when appropriateExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage competing prioritiesComfortable working independently in a hybrid or remote environment while remaining highly collaborativeHigh attention to detail and strong editing/proofreading skillsWillingness to travel periodically within assigned regionsFlexibility to work outside standard business hours as neededExperience & EducationBachelor’s degree required (Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field preferred)8–10+ years of business development and/or marketing experience within a professional services environmentExperience supporting multi-office organizations strongly preferredProficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint); CRM experience a plusCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive salary commensurate with experience ($178,100-249,400k base depending on experience and education) Eligibility for performance-based incentivesComprehensive benefits package including health coverage, retirement plan, paid time off, wellness programs, and family-supportive benefitsEqual Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled To read our Candidate Privacy Information Statement, which explains how we will use your information, please navigate to https://www.lhh.com/us/en/candidate-privacy The Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and/or security clearance requirements, including, as applicable: • The California Fair Chance Act • Los Angeles City Fair Chance Ordinance • Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers • San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance
