Process Engineer
Process Engineer
Oklo is seeking a Process Engineer to join our engineering team and immediately contribute to the design, engineering analysis, and operation of fluid and power process systems used in our power plants.
Responsibilities
Design fluid and process systems, including piping, valves, compressors, pumps, and heat exchangers.
Define process equipment architecture, specifications, operational modes, and performance criteria.
Design, assemble, and operate prototypes for iterative design refinement.
Generate documentation for system layout, fabrication, installation, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of process equipment.
Serve as process system owner throughout multiple lifecycle stages.
Generate technical documentation for regulatory filings.
Work with external vendors on process equipment analysis, procurement, and testing.
Document work using modern tools and techniques, and compose well‑written technical reports.
Qualifications
Engineering education (Mechanical, Chemical, Petroleum, Aerospace or related).
Experience performing design or modification engineering on process equipment used in petroleum, nuclear, petrochemical, or pharmaceutical industries.
Broad familiarity with engineering principles and strong systems engineering and operations intuition.
Fluency in designing fluids/process systems, power generation, heat transfer equipment, and/or systems engineering.
Willingness and ability to learn quickly and think creatively.
Comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, highly iterative startup environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Travel Requirement
Remote employees must travel to Oklo headquarters (Santa Clara, CA) twice a quarter annually for team meetings, off‑sites, and other company events.
