Physician Assistant | Surgery - General/Other Location: Potsdam, NY Employer: Lancesoft Inc Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Shift Information: 4 days x 10 hours Start Date: ASAP About the Position A Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) is needed to provide locum coverage in a hospital surgical setting. The role includes a combination of Surgical First Assist in the Operating Room and medical-surgical floor coverage. You will work primarily with General Surgery, OB/GYN, and Orthopedic patients, assisting with procedures, patient rounding, progress notes, managing orders, discharges, and consults. Highlights: Patient population: Adults with a wide variety of acute medical and surgical needs Hospital size: 109 beds Charting/EMR: EPIC Shift types: 4x10-hour shifts, 3x12-hour shifts, or combination of weekdays and weekends Weekend call: Friday 5 PM – Monday 7 AM, rounding Sat-Sun 8 AM – 12 PM Weeknight call: 4 shifts/month, 5 PM – 7 AM Requirements NY State PA or NP license Board certified PA or NP AHA BLS, ACLS, ATLS certifications Minimum 2 years of recent surgical experience Strong written and verbal communication skills Epic EMR experience preferred Benefits Competitive hourly compensation for locum coverage Exposure to both OR first assist and surgical floor care Work in a Level 1 Perinatal and Primary Stroke Center with DNV accreditation Flexible coverage options: weekdays, weekends, or combination Opportunity to gain hands-on experience across multiple surgical specialties
