They help keep the kitchen organized and running efficiently. They ensure proper food handling, sanitation and following food storage procedures.Job DescriptionSets up stations with all necessary suppliesHandles, stores and rotates all products properlyCooks menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff and food allergen preferencesAlways follows supervisors' directionFollows proper cooking techniques for all dishesEnsure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items, and rotating stock.Practices correct food handling procedures according to company and state regulationsComplies with all sanitation and safety regulationsMaintains a positive and respectful approach with everyoneReports all unsafe working conditions, operational needs and equipment or aspects of the kitchen in need of repair to managementOther duties, responsibilities, and requirements may be assigned as necessaryQualificationsMust be 18 years or olderPrior experience in restaurant preferredFood Handler's CertificationUnderstanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and proceduresWork varied shifts, to include weekends and holidayAbility to address issues in a professional manner through effective interpersonal communicationAbility to adhere to all company policies and the code of conductExemplary time and resource management including good attendanceAbility to cope with fast-paced environmentsWe look forward to you joining us!
