This is an exciting opportunity to work for one of the most respected Regional Firms.Essential Duties & Responsibilities (but not limited to):Manage and mentor members of Tax teams to greater levels of effectiveness and engagementReview and manage tax engagementsAssume full responsibility for directing large engagements and special assignmentsSupervise the assignment of duties to, and the training of, staff and senior accountants assigned to engagementsMonitor and manage time budgets for the officeMaintain effective control procedures over all aspects of the Tax processDemonstrate a high level of technical proficiencyDemonstrate an understanding of business issues relating to complex transactionsWork and communicate effectively with clients to enhance their understanding of business and tax issuesMonitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments, communicate the effects of these developments to the tax teamReview and correspond with the IRS and Department of Revenue as it relates to audits and notifications. Demonstrate an awareness of firm software packages and the ability to use such software effectively and efficientlySelf-Directed, Autonomous, AmbitiousExceptional and proactive communicator (verbal & written)Education and Experience Required:Bachelor’s degree in accounting required; master’s degree in accounting preferredCurrent CPA license required3 years or more of experience in preparing and reviewing individual, partnership and corporate tax returns.Prior Public Accounting Experience, required.BCS is dedicated to the well-being of our employees.
