Inventory Specialist
The Inventory Specialist is responsible for ensuring accurate inventory levels, maintaining inventory records, and supporting efficient material flow within the organization. This role plays a key part in preventing shortages, reducing excess stock, and supporting operational and financial goals through accurate inventory controlEssential Duties and Responsibilities:Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management systemsConduct regular cycle counts and full physical inventories; investigate and resolve discrepanciesTrack inventory movement, including receipts, transfers, adjustments, and issuesCoordinate with purchasing, warehouse, production, and operations teams to ensure material availabilityAnalyze inventory data to identify trends, shortages, excess, or obsolete stockMaintain proper storage, labeling, and organization of inventory itemsPrepare inventory reports, audits, and documentation as requiredEnsure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standardsAssist with continuous improvement in initiatives related to inventory accuracy and efficiencySupport internal and external audits related to inventory controlSupervisory Responsibilities- In the event that this position becomes vacant, the Inventory Control Analyst or Materials Manager will resume responsibilities.Environmental Responsibilities- Cooperate with action team directives. Familiar with evacuation plans. Trained in clean-up modules.
