Job Summary: A Materials Handler is a vital logistics professional responsible for the safe movement, storage, and tracking of goods within warehouses and manufacturing facilities. Job Description: Moving shipments between delivery vehicles, loading docks, and storage areas using manual effort or heavy machinery. Scanning barcodes, recording stock locations in Warehouse Management Systems or ERP Software, and performing cycle counts to ensure accuracy. Picking items according to “pick sheets” or digital tickets, packing them securely, and staging them for shipment. Inspecting incoming materials for damage or discrepancies against purchase orders and processing returns. Safely operating forklifts, pallet jacks, cranes, and computerized scales. Adhering to OSHA guidelines, performing pre-use equipment inspections, and maintaining a clean workspace. Competencies: Ability to lift 30-60 lbs and stand/walk for 8-12-hour shifts. Basic computer literacy (MS Office, data entry) and familiarity with inventory software. Job Requirements: Good teamwork and communication skills. Strong attention to detail, time management, and the ability to work in fast-paced team environments. Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required Experience: At least one year of previous experience.
