Mitigation Technician
Job Description
Overview:In this position, experience is a plus but not necessary as RCR will train and provide the appropriate resources for success. RCR Mitigation Technicians provide emergency restoration and disaster recovery services to residential and commercial property owners. Technicians are responsible for mitigation and demolition activities, scheduling phases of work and coordinating with subcontractors on various aspects of projects. Find out more about this role by reading the information below, then apply to be considered.Responsibilities and Duties:Proven ability to multitask and is detail orientedAbility to work within a team or independentlyEffectively assess the damage and help with the initial site inspection Prepare & operate extraction & drying equipmentHigh level performance of water mitigation, board up and mold remediation Demolition including, but not limited to, removing carpet, pad, flooring, drywall, insulation, etc. from the job siteMaintain a clean, properly stocked, organized truck and maintain all equipmentResponsible to report accurate records and complete paperwork for each jobWork under time constraints to meet expected timelinesProactively communicate jobsite conditions and concernsFocus and dedication to providing excellent customer serviceWilling and able to be accessible by phone and respond to after-hour/weekend emergencies, as necessary, in the on-call scheduleOut of town/state travel is a possibilityPhysical Demands:Traveling to each job location requires the safe operation of a company vehicle Ability to lift 75 LBS frequentlyWorking in confined spaces Requires bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching, kneeling, lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, balancing, walking, standingDue to the nature of the work, the jobs site can often be dirty, possibly cold or wet, and sometimes unsanitaryQualifications and Skills:Related experience in Construction, Restoration, Insurance preferred, but not requiredIICRC certifications xaygatp (WRT, ASD, FRST, OR AMRT) are preferred but not requiredMitigation and water drying experience preferred but not requiredBasic knowledge of hand tools and their usesAttire must meet OSHA requirements for the specific job siteUsing protection through the use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)Must pass a Fit Test for proper fit of respiratorMotivated and organized person with a positive attitude Personable and professional, whose dedicated to customer serviceTeam player Desire to continually learn new thingsAble to pass a background checkAble to provide a valid driver's licenseFluent in English
