Program Medical Director, Advanced Heart Failure Opportunity in Norfolk, VAFull TimePermanent PositionPosition Overview: Seeking a visionary Board-Certified Cardiologist to lead the expansion of our Advanced Heart Failure (AHF) Program, which includes mechanical circulatory support and heart transplantation. This role blends clinical care and strategic program leadership in a nationally recognized heart hospital.Clinical & Administrative Responsibilities (60/40 split): Provide advanced HF patient care in clinic and inpatient settings Oversee program operations, growth, and quality improvement initiatives Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of five transplant cardiologists and four transplant/VAD surgeons Guide clinical pathways and ensure excellence in patient outcomesProgram Highlights: Clinic handles 10,000 patient visits annually Based in a state-of-the-art dedicated heart hospital Facility includes: - 5 Cath Labs - 5 Cardiac ORs - Hybrid Cardiac OR - 4 EP Labs Access to advanced imaging (Cardiac CT and MRI)Qualifications: Board Certified/Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease Experience in advanced heart failure and transplant/VAD programs Strong leadership, strategic vision, and collaboration skills Eligible for Virginia medical licensureCompensation & Benefits: Nationally competitive compensation package Sign-on bonus, commencement bonus, and retention bonus Comprehensive health, dental, vision, disability, malpractice and tail coverage Fully integrated EPIC EHR Exceptional retirement package with employer matching Generous physician time off
