Job Title: Crane Operator
Location: Pataskala, OH
Schedule: Monday-Thursday 6am-4:30pm
(2) 15 min paid breaks and (1) 30 min unpaid lunch
Pay Rate: Starting up to $19.25/hr
Job Summary:
Ridge Corporation is seeking a safety-focused and dependable Crane Operator to support material movement and production operations within our manufacturing facility. This position plays a critical role in safely transporting raw materials, finished goods, and production components throughout the plant while supporting shipping, receiving, and manufacturing teams.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience operating overhead cranes, forklifts, or other industrial material handling equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing or warehouse environment. Candidates should possess strong attention to detail, safe work practices, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Safely operate overhead crane systems to transport materials throughout the facility
Load, unload, stage, and move raw materials and finished products
Support production operations by delivering materials to designated machine centers
Operate forklifts and additional material handling equipment as needed
Perform material handling activities while maintaining inventory accuracy
Utilize RF scanners and inventory systems to track and validate material movement
Assist with receiving, cycle counts, physical inventories, and material verification
Load and unload materials from storage racks and designated staging areas
Inspect lifting devices, rigging equipment, and crane systems prior to operation
Follow all company safety standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and OSHA guidelines
Maintain a clean and organized work area utilizing 5S methodology
Communicate effectively with production, shipping, receiving, and leadership teams
Make recommendations for process improvement and operational efficiency
Perform additional duties as assigned

High School Diploma or GED preferred
Previous experience operating overhead cranes, gantry cranes, hoists, or similar industrial lifting equipment preferred
Prior work experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or industrial environment
Forklift and material handling equipment experience preferred
Basic knowledge of rigging practices, load balancing, and safe lifting procedures
Ability to safely transport oversized, heavy, or awkward materials throughout a production environment
Experience loading and unloading materials from storage racks, trailers, or production areas
Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
Ability to inspect lifting equipment and identify potential safety concerns
Ability to manage multiple tasks and independently troubleshoot operational issues
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Willingness to work overtime as needed
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with production personnel
Ability to read work instructions, production schedules, and safety documentation
Ability to perform basic math functions and measurements
OSHA, overhead crane, or rigging certifications are a plus, but not required
