The PTA will work under the supervision of licensed Physical Therapists to provide therapeutic interventions, assist with patient care, and support clinic operations. This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from cancer, older adults, those with neurological conditions, and patients rehabilitating from orthopedic injuries or surgeries, including total joint replacements.Responsibilities:Implement treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist, with a focus on oncology, geriatrics, neurology, and orthopedics as appropriateInstruct, motivate, and assist patients in therapeutic exercises and functional activities tailored to their unique needsMonitor patient progress and communicate observations to the Physical TherapistDocument patient treatments and responses in accordance with clinic and regulatory standardsAssist with patient scheduling, clinic upkeep, and equipment maintenanceEducate patients and families on exercises and home programs, with sensitivity to the challenges faced by oncology, geriatric, neurological, and orthopedic patientsMaintain compliance with HIPAA and all relevant regulationsOur Specialties:Geriatric Physical Therapy: Helping older adults maintain independence, prevent falls, and manage age-related conditions through individualized care.Neurological Rehabilitation: Providing evidence-based therapy for patients with stroke, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, and other neurological disorders to maximize function and mobility.Orthopedic Rehabilitation & Total Joint Replacement: Delivering personalized care for patients recovering from joint replacements (hip, knee, shoulder) and other orthopedic surgeries or injuries, with a focus on restoring mobility, strength, and function.Oncology Rehabilitation: Supporting patients before, during, and after cancer treatment to improve strength, reduce fatigue, and enhance quality of life. Qualifications:Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant programCurrent PTA license in GACPR/BLS certification (preferred)Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work collaboratively as part of a teamPrior experience in oncology, geriatrics, neurology, or orthopedics is a plus but not required; willingness to learn and grow in these areas is essentialBenefits:Health insurance, paid time off, continuing education, 401k with company matchHow to Apply:Please send your resume to alex@longleafpt.com.
