Job Title: Cost Accountant Job Location: Lincolnton, NC Work Schedule: 100% on-site, M-F Salary Range: $90k-$110k base salary + Comprehensive Benefits + 401k with 4% Match Must have: 3+ yrs of experience working as a Cost Accountant Bachelors degree in Accounting (preferred) or Finance Advanced Excel skills (Pivot tables, Vlookups, Macros) Knowledge of cost accounting principles, standard costing, activity-based costing, and variance analysis Preferred: Experience with ERP systems, with Epicor being a plus CPA, CMA, or equivalent certifications Why join us? Iconic American growth story — built from the ground up by an industry innovator 401k with 4% Match Job Details Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Accountant to join their finance team.The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing production costs, preparing cost reports, and supporting budgeting and forecasting processes to ensure efficient financial management and cost control within the organization.Job Tasks include: Analyze and report on production costs — including materials, labor, and overhead, with detailed variance and profitability analyses.Maintain accurate cost accounting systems and ensure proper inventory valuation, allocation, and compliance with GAAP/IFRS.Collaborate with operations and procurement to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve processes.Support budgeting, forecasting, and month-end close by providing cost projections, journal entries, and reconciliations.Prepare ad hoc reports and insights on cost trends, margins, and efficiency metrics for senior management.Must have: 3+ yrs of experience working as a Cost Accountant Bachelors degree in Accounting (preferred) or Finance Advanced Excel skills (Pivot tables, Vlookups, Macros) Knowledge of cost accounting principles, standard costing, activity-based costing, and variance analysis Preferred: Experience with ERP systems, with Epicor being a plus CPA, CMA, or equivalent certifications Interested in hearing more?
