Apply via Dice today!Job SummaryWe are looking for a Senior Data Analyst to deliver end-to-end analytics solutions across modern data platforms. This role involves building scalable datasets, performing advanced analytics, and delivering actionable insights to business stakeholders.The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SQL, Python, Power BI, and Snowflake, along with experience leveraging AI-assisted tools such as Microsoft Copilot to enhance productivity, automation, and insight generation.Key ResponsibilitiesGather business requirements and translate them into scalable analytics solutions, including datasets, dashboards, and KPI frameworksWrite and optimize complex SQL queries across SQL Server, Snowflake, and modern data platformsDesign and maintain data models (star schema, dimensional modeling, curated layers)Develop and optimize interactive dashboards using Power BI (DAX, Power Query) and TableauPerform data analysis and automation using Python (pandas, NumPy, etc.)Ensure data quality, validation, and governance through reconciliation and monitoring processesWork within Microsoft Fabric ecosystem (Lakehouse, pipelines, dataflows, semantic models)Leverage AI tools (Microsoft Copilot and similar) to accelerate development, documentation, and reportingCommunicate insights effectively to stakeholders and provide data-driven recommendationsMaintain clear documentation including data definitions, lineage, and reporting logicRequired Skills & Experience7–10+ years of experience in data analytics, BI, or consultingAdvanced expertise in SQL (CTEs, joins, window functions, performance tuning)Strong hands-on experience with SQL Server and SnowflakeProficiency in Power BI (DAX, data modeling) and TableauExperience with Python for data analysis and automationExposure to Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, pipelines, dataflows)Experience using AI-assisted tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) in analytics workflowsStrong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience with statistical analysis or forecasting modelsKnowledge of ETL processes and data pipelinesFamiliarity with data governance and data quality frameworksExperience in financial services or enterprise-scale environmentsSuccess Metrics / DeliverablesHigh-quality, reusable datasets and clearly defined KPIsPerformance-optimized dashboards with strong user adoptionAutomation of manual reporting processesWell-documented analytics solutions for seamless handoffMust-Have Skills (Non-Negotiable)Strong experience with SQL, Python, Power BI, and SnowflakeHands-on experience building Power BI dashboards and writing SQL queriesFamiliarity with AI tools / Microsoft CopilotAbility to work onsite in McLean, VA and attend in-person interviews
