Lead AWS DevOps Engineer
We are seeking an experienced Lead AWS DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in AWS Cloud, Containers, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to design, implement, and optimize cloud-native infrastructure and CI/CD automation for mission-critical applications. The ideal candidate will drive DevOps best practices, improve deployment reliability, and mentor engineering teams while enabling scalable, secure, and highly available cloud environments.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, and maintain highly available AWS cloud infrastructure using services such as EC2, EKS, VPC, IAM, RDS, Lambda, and CloudWatch.Build, optimize, and manage GitLab CI/CD pipelines for automated application deployment.Manage production Kubernetes (EKS) clusters, including deployment, scaling, monitoring, and lifecycle management.Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using AWS CloudFormation and Terraform.Automate infrastructure provisioning and application deployments.Implement containerization best practices using Docker and Kubernetes.Define and execute deployment strategies including Blue/Green, Canary, and Rolling deployments.Monitor system health, logging, and observability using CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK.Implement cloud security best practices, secrets management, vulnerability scanning, and compliance automation.Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, scalability, availability, and cost efficiency.Collaborate with development teams to streamline DevOps processes and improve engineering productivity.Mentor DevOps engineers and establish DevOps standards and best practices.Required Skills7+ years of experience in AWS and DevOps engineering.Strong hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, EKS, VPC, IAM, RDS, Lambda, CloudWatch, and S3.Expertise in Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration.Strong experience with AWS CloudFormation and Terraform for Infrastructure as Code.Experience designing and maintaining GitLab CI/CD pipelines.Strong knowledge of cloud-native architecture and deployment automation.Experience with scripting using Python, Shell, or PowerShell.Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or CloudWatch.Good understanding of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles including SLIs, SLOs, and Error Budgets.Experience with Agile development methodologies.Preferred SkillsExperience with Jenkins, Maven, Nexus, Artifactory, SonarQube, or Ansible.Experience migrating applications from on-premises environments to AWS Cloud.Familiarity with cloud security, OWASP, GDPR, and DevSecOps practices.Experience with repository management using Git, GitHub, or Bitbucket.Mandatory RequirementsPrimary Skills: AWS, DevOps, Containers, Kubernetes, AWS CloudFormationExperience: 7+ years in AWS & DevOps; 7+ years in Containers, Kubernetes & CloudFormation; 5+ years in GitLab CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and Terraform.Domain Experience: Not RequiredCertification: Not MandatoryKeywords: AWS, DevOps, AWS CloudFormation, Kubernetes, Docker, Containers, Terraform, GitLab CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Cloud Computing, EKS, EC2, Lambda, CloudWatch, Python, Shell Scripting, SRE, CI/CD, Cloud Native.ABOUT BRICKRED SYSTEMSBrickRed Systems is a global leader in next-generation technology consulting and workforce solutions, specializing in delivering high-quality talent across digital, engineering, marketing, analytics, finance, operations, and business transformation domains.
