Plumber
Job Summary: The HVAC Boiler Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial and/or residential boiler systems. This role ensures heating systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all applicable codes and standards.
Key Responsibilities Install, inspect, maintain, and repair boiler systems, including gas, oil, and steam units
Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in heating systems and perform necessary repairs
Conduct routine preventative maintenance to ensure optimal system performance
Test system controls, safety devices, and components for proper operation
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations
Respond to emergency service calls and perform timely repairsMaintain accurate service records and documentation
Communicate effectively with customers, team members, and supervisors
Recommend system upgrades or replacements when necessary
Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school training preferred
2+ years of experience working with HVAC systems and boilers (commercial experience preferred)
Strong knowledge of boiler systems, piping, and controls
Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
EPA certification (if handling refrigerants) preferred
Boiler operator or stationary engineer license (if required by state/local regulations)

Work Environment Work may be performed indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
Exposure to heat, noise, and mechanical hazards
