The successful candidate will be responsible for advancing the College's and KSRE's missions, with a focus on high-quality teaching, research, engagement, and extension. This role requires a cutting-edge, learner-centric leader with a proven history of successful growth initiatives, strong partnership and collaboration skills, strategic vision, and results-focused leadership. The Dean/Director will lead all academic programs, promote a team-oriented leadership approach, and drive the development and growth of the College's strategic plan. Key responsibilities include overseeing the strategic direction of the Kansas Cooperative Extension Service and the Agricultural Experiment Station, leading fundraising efforts, and strengthening relationships with community stakeholders, alumni, legislators, and industry. Candidates for this position must have an earned doctorate in a relevant field and a strong record of distinguished academic achievement. Essential qualifications include a demonstrated ability to lead, plan, and execute a strategic vision, as well as a proven track record in fund development and external fundraising. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of and commitment to the land-grant mission, including teaching, research, extension, and engagement. Preferred qualifications include experience in developing interdisciplinary and international programs, leading transformational change, and a firm grasp of the opportunities and advantages of a land-grant university with R1 status.
