Build relationships with physicians and nursing to support patient satisfaction and achieve quality care that meets each patient's nutritional needs.ResponsibilitiesRegistered Dietitian at Harris Regional Hospital in Sylva, NCFULL & PART-TIME POSITIONS AVAILABLEFull-Time: Starting Salary $65,000 (Negotiable based on experience)Part-Time: Starting rate $35.00/hour (Negotiable based on experience) x 20 hrs/wkPrincipal Duties & Responsibilities - Essential FunctionsNutrition Assessments & Follow-UpsComplete nutrition assessments and follow-ups for individuals with increased nutritional needs in accordance with facility policies.Document assessment of nutritional goals and/or changes in status in the medical record.Educate individuals and/or their family members on nutritional needs as indicated.Attend patient rounds on assigned floors.Inform nursing and physicians of changes in patient/resident nutritional status.Perform other tasks as assigned by the Clinical Nutrition Manager, Lead Clinical Dietitian, or DFNS.Patient/Resident SatisfactionParticipate in patient/resident satisfaction programs with culinary and nutrition services.Ensure processes are followed and participate in performance improvements within trouble areas.Patient Services Program Implementation & MaintenanceEducate staff, nursing, and food service employees on issues regarding special diets or formulas.Review and approve menus, formularies, substitutions, or changes.SkillsInterpersonal Skills: Ability to interact with individuals of all backgroundsCommunication: Effective written, spoken, and non-verbal communicationCustomer Service: Service-oriented mentality with a focus on exceeding expectationsProfessionalism: Maintain a positive and professional demeanorProactivity: Self-motivated with the ability to effectively prioritize projects and needsTeam Player: Willingness to provide support where needed to achieve outcomesBusiness Ethics: Demonstrate integrity, respect, and discretion in all business dealingsOrganization: Attention to detail and ability to effectively manage tasks in a fast-paced environmentRequirementsRegistered Dietitian with the Commission of Dietetic Registration and licensed dietitian as required per state regulationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Nutrition & Dietetics or related fieldKnowledge of regulatory standardsComputer experience with word processing, spreadsheets, and various softwareWhat We OfferEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Career development and ongoing trainingImportant to KnowMany healthcare facilities require employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or have an approved exemption in place.Veterans and candidates with military experience are encouraged to apply.HHS is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer committed to workplace diversity and inclusion.Who is HHSHHS is a private, family-owned business dedicated to caring for its team members and providing honest, quality-driven customer service.
