Job OverviewThe Pipe Layer is a skilled craft role responsible for the precision installation of complex pipeline infrastructure. This role requires expertise in joining a variety of materials – including DIP, CCFRPM, Steel, and PCCP – on large-diameter sanitary sewer, water transmission, and stormwater systems.Duties & ResponsibilitiesPrecision Installation: Lay, align, and join pipe using mechanical, flanged, and restrained joint systems, ensuring correct bedding and haunching.Technical Verification: Use pipe lasers and transit levels to verify slopes, inverts, and alignments.Material Management: Handle and join a multitude of materials, including DIP, CCFRPM, Steel, PVC, HDPE, and PCCP.Rigging & Signaling: Manage the rigging of pipe segments and signaling to Operators for safe placement in the trench.Trench Safety: Direct the setup of shoring and shielding systems; monitor trench wall stability and atmospheric conditions for confined space entry.Testing & Quality: Support hydrostatic/air testing of completed reaches and ensure all as-built data is accurately reflected in field notes.Qualifications & RequirementsExperience in pipe laying, specifically within small to large-diameter utility or transmission systems (Water, Sewer, Storm).Proven ability of reading plans/specs, verifying grades, and utilizing leveling and laser equipment.Strong commitment to safety, quality, and production.Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions and confined spaces.Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening/physical.Reliable transportation and the ability to work out of town as required by project schedules.Authorized to work in the US.Insurance & Benefits (Industry Leading)Competitive Compensation.100% Company-Paid Health Insurance: Fully covered Medical, Dental, and Vision premiums for the employee and their entire family.Paid Holidays & Flexible PTO.401(k) with a 5% company match, plus yearly raises and bonuses.100% Company-Paid STD, LTD, and Life Insurance.$0-cost telemedicine, personal nurse support for medical navigation, and a 24/7 Employee Assistance Program.Professional Development & Career Growth Opportunities.This is more than just a job, this is a career.Apply Now!
