Information about Agilent is available at www.agilent.com.As part of our diverse and expert team you will be responsible for supporting our customers with on-site service in the following areasInstalls and optimizes hardware/software/network products and configurations at customer sitesDiagnoses and resolves product performance problemsPerforms maintenance and repairsEnsures customer happiness by advising customers on preventive maintenance and configurations, which may impact product performanceLeverage shown experience to provided limited application supportProactively responds to potential equipment issues to prevent unplanned interruption of customers businessDeliver fully coordinated solutions, which may include peripherals, communications, operating systems and applications softwareTrain other field engineers and customers in the solutionsServes as an internal resource on technical issues and leads product customer concerns Collaborates with Agilent teams such as Support, Sales, Marketing and R&D to provide solutions to customersMay have knowledge of third-party productsMay deliver internal technical training and maintenance seminars and workshops for field engineers or customersMay calibrate equipmentMay qualify leadsTerritory CoverageThe ideal candidate will reside within the Indianapolis Metro Area. Note: No relocation is offered for this position at this time.The position requires an active driver's license.Company Vehicle Program: Either vehicle mileage reimbursement or a company car is eligible for this territory.Territory: IN, covering IL, WI, MI, KY as needed.Must consent to participate and meet Agilent-approved customer/vendor credentialing requirements necessary to gain access to customer sites. Requirements may include, but are not limited to, proof of identification, proof of certification to perform the work required, customer health and safety requirements, etc.QualificationsBachelors, Masters or other university degree in chemistry, biochemistry, analytical chemistry or other life science field preferred; may consider a candidate with equivalent combination of education, training and significant experience4+ years relevant work experience, including familiarity with Agilent and Waters analytical instrumentation; specific experience with GC and/or LC required, dissolution or spectroscopy experience is a plusExperience with Pharma/Bio-pharma, GMP, GLP environmentsExperience with the Agilent solutions is desired but not crucialFamiliarity with other OEM chromatography and mass spectroscopy equipment highly preferredFamiliar with use of hand toolsDemonstration of logical troubleshootingAbility to tackle high impact problems related to product availability; typically, system/ solution focusedCustomer service and solutions orientedAbility to travel extensively including overnight travel as decided by business needsA valid driver's license is required for this positionUp to 50% travel may be requiredAdditional DetailsThis job has a full time weekly schedule. In the US, this position is eligible for choice of company car or reimbursement for personal vehicle usage.The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $43.12 - $67.37/hr plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
