Job Title: Project Coordinator (Entry–Mid Level)Company: LEAD Technical Location: Barker, NY (On-site) Employment Type: Full-TimePosition OverviewLEAD Technical is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Coordinator to support the planning, execution, and delivery of data center infrastructure and deployment projects. This role is ideal for someone early in their project management career who thrives in fast-paced, mission-critical environments and is eager to grow within technical operations or project management.You will work cross-functionally with engineering, construction, and operations teams to ensure data center builds, expansions, and hardware deployments are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with operational standards.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate project activities related to data center construction, expansion, and infrastructure deploymentsTrack and manage rack-and-stack schedules, hardware installations, and commissioning timelinesSupport logistics for servers, networking equipment, power systems, and cooling infrastructureMaintain detailed project documentation including MOPs (Methods of Procedure), SOPs, and change management recordsAct as a liaison between data center operations, network engineering, facilities teams, and third-party vendorsAssist with capacity planning tracking (rack space, power utilization, and cooling requirements)Monitor project milestones for power-up, testing, and go-live readinessTrack and escalate risks related to downtime, deployment delays, or equipment availabilityCoordinate site access, scheduling, and vendor activities within a secure data center environmentSupport procurement and inventory tracking for IT hardware and infrastructure componentsAssist in maintaining compliance with safety standards, security protocols, and uptime SLAsPrepare status reports and dashboards for leadership, highlighting deployment progress and operational readinessRequired Qualifications1–4 years of experience in project coordination, operations, or administrative support in a technical, industrial, or data center environmentStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent infrastructure projectsProficiency in project tracking tools (Excel, Smartsheet, Asana, or similar)Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical teamsAbility to work in a fast-paced, high-availability (24/7 uptime) environmentBasic understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, or data center operationsPreferred QualificationsExperience supporting data center operations, colocation environments, or cloud infrastructure deploymentsFamiliarity with rack-and-stack processes, structured cabling, and hardware lifecycle managementExposure to tools such as Jira, ServiceNow, or MS ProjectAssociate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Engineering, or related fieldCAPM certification or interest in pursuing PMP certificationWork Environment & Physical RequirementsOn-site role based in Barker, NY within a data center or technical operations facilityMay require time spent on the data center floor supporting deployments and vendor coordinationAbility to walk, stand, and work in controlled environments with hot/cold aisle containmentOccasional lifting of equipment (up to 25 lbs)Adherence to strict security, safety, and access control proceduresCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive base salary (commensurate with experience)Health, dental, and vision insurancePaid time off and holidaysOpportunities for career growth into Project Management, Data Center Operations, or Technical Program ManagementWhy Join LEAD Technical?At LEAD Technical, you’ll gain hands-on experience supporting mission-critical data center infrastructure projects, working alongside experienced engineers and operators in a high-growth, technology-driven environment.
