Production Supervisor
Production Supervisor for EFTEC North America; Production Managers may have multiple shifts and or building responsibilities the ideal candidate will review orders and schedule production. Providing purpose, motivation, and direction and ensuring safety and quality.
Responsibilities
Ensure the business goals, deadlines, and performance standards are met
Responsible for ensuring a minimum of 41.5 KL of product is required per shift
Responsible for ensuring for the Filter mags are replaced during production output, minimum 40 per shift
Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production se-quences to meet production goals. (ensures overtime meets the company’s target)
Ensure Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) is accomplishing by 85% or higher.
Reads and analyzes charts, production manpower schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements, to evaluate cur-rent production estimates and outputs
Ensures that in the last fifteen minutes of the employee's shift, they clean their work area
Observe (hourly)work and monitor gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure that operators conform to production or processing standards
Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Identification and scheduling of Hazardous Waste shipments; signing manifests
Manages the workflow of their employee, creating team schedules, and del-egating tasks
Assesses the work performance of their employees and identifying areas that need improvement
Ensures new employee training in equipment operations, work and safety procedures, or assign employee training to experienced workers to make sure they understand their roles
Sets goals for workers and making sure they comply with the company's standards, plan, and vision
Enforces safety, quality and environmental policies (PPE shall be enforced at all times, no cell phone usage on the manufacturing floor, safe forklift driving)
Recommends new employees to human resources based on an assessment of their performance, as needed
Conducts Performance Evaluations that are timely and constructive
Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with HR company policy and CBA contract
Manages UAW Point systems, disciplinary issues warning (attendance, earned credits, bonus credits and standard of conduct, plant rules)
Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with HR and UAW CBA.
Reviews and Approves timesheet and PTO request in Paycor
all other duties assigned by supervisor/manager
Education:
5+ years of leadership experience
Lean Manufacturing Experience
Excel required and QAD or other Systems ex-perience preferred.
Competencies:
Excellent management and supervisory skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Extensive knowledge of customer service procedures and principles
Organized with attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Ability to resolve customer complaints and issues while maintaining a profes-sional and calm demeanor
Ability to coach and mentor customer service representatives.
