When you join Crown Castle, you become part of a dynamic team of passionate and collaborative professionals engaging in complex challenges and contributing to projects that shape the future of life and work.About The RoleThe Data & Analytics Director will lead the Enterprise data strategy and execution to enable trusted, accessible, and scalable data products, advanced analytics, and AI/ML capabilities that drive business outcomes.This leader will collaborate closely with Product, platforms, and business teams, helping to ensure alignment with Crown’s data strategy and deliver incremental value along the way. They will be hands-on in enabling access, breaking down silos, and advancing use cases that deliver next-gen data monetization.The ideal candidate is experienced in AI/ML enablement, applying advanced analytics, leading and scaling end-to-end data teams, and governance with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and translate strategy into practical, outcome-driven execution.What You Will DoBuild and execute the Data Strategy & GovernanceDefine enterprise data strategy and execute a roadmap of high-impact data and analytics initiatives informed by business priorities.Establish data governance, classification, and quality standards.Ensure data is trusted and secured.Data Platform & PipelineBuild a scalable data platform of consolidated enterprise data from disparate systems into a unified, governed, and sustainable model.Define and enforce data architecture, modeling, and integration standards.Data Products & Self-serviceLead Development of curated, business-aligned data products.Enable governed self-service analytics (e.g., Semantic layer, Power BI, etc.)Define and track ownership, SLAs, life-cycle management, and usage metrics for each data product.Advanced Analytics & AI/ML ReadinessDeliver advanced analytics use cases to unlock business critical insights and opportunities.Lead and scale AI/ML development and deployment in partnership with Product and Engineering.Advisory & EvangelismAct as a trusted advisor to business units, helping them understand how to leverage self-service capabilities, data, and analytics in ways that deliver measurable outcomes.Team leadershipBuild and lead a high-performing team across data engineering, analytics, data products, and data science/AI defining clear roles, accountability, and ways of working.Education/CertificationsWHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEEDBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.Master’s degree and/or MBA preferred.Experience & Skills10+ years of experience in data, advanced analytics, and engineering leadership.Experience building modern data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, Databricks) and tools supporting data lakes and advanced analytics and AI.Experience delivering data products vs reporting and ability to translate business needs into data/AI solutions.Strong ability to partner across functions, influence governance decisions, and drive execution against strategy.Experience leading and scaling a cross-functional team across data science, engineering, analytics, and governance professionals.Strong understanding of data governance, modeling, and architecture.Prior telecommunications and infrastructure industry experience preferred.Where You Will WorkThis role falls into our hybrid work model, which is 1-day work from home (typically Friday but may vary depending on the position) and 4-days in the office to optimize collaboration, relationship building and key stakeholder engagement, and may require some travel as needed.Organizational RelationshipReports to: VP, Digital & DataTitle(s)/Number of direct reports (if applicable): Senior Managers (Data Analytics, Data Engineering, Governance, Data Science, and Data Product Management)Your Company BenefitsAt Crown Castle, we do our best to ensure you have access to the resources you need to live a healthy and happy life no matter where you are in life. A candidate's offer is determined by various factors including but not limited to, depth of experience, role-related knowledge and skills, relevant education or training, internal alignment, and work location.
