Our programs are delivered in a variety of settings, beginning with our flagship preschool in Plainview, Long Island. Our recent expansion has included opening two special needs preschools in Westchester County and two adult Day Habilitation programs in Nassau County. We also operate eight Individualized Residential Alternative group homes (IRAs), and provide top-quality services in community-based Com Hab program. We currently serve more than one thousand people across all of our programs. Job Responsibilities: Act as a primary point of contact for new hires and hiring managers, addressing any questions or concerns they may have during their onboarding period. Assists candidates with completion of onboarding tasks, processing of new hire forms, and verifying required documentation, as needed. Obtains all necessary authorizations for required background checks and clearances, appropriately updates and stores required documentation, and maintains clearance database. Ensures accuracy and completeness of new hire processing and information, tracking completion of all new hire paperwork and receipt of necessary background clearances for assigned candidates. Maintains compliance with all agency processes and procedures, and all applicable State and Federal employment requirements in processing and onboarding candidates. Create and post job advertisements on our Agency career pages, LinkedIn, and other industry-specific job boards. Ensure compliance with Agency policies and employment laws throughout the onboarding process. Prepare and track offer letters and other new hire documentation. Track all aspects of the onboarding process including referral management. Communicates with candidates, HR team, and Hiring Managers regarding scheduling, appointments, and completion of required onboarding tasks. Coordinates with the recruiting team and other HR staff as required regarding internal and external candidates, including appropriate effective dates, changes in status, processing delays, withdrawals from processing, etc.· Initiates hires and staffing changes through Paycom and completes verifications (e.g. professional licenses), as appropriate. Provide support to new employees in navigating Agency systems, policies, and procedures. Responds to all general HR inquiries, audits, and requests. Performs all other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Requirements: · Bachelor’s Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience. · 1-3 years of relevant experience, required. · Knowledge of New York State and Federal employment regulations, preferred. · Bilingual (Spanish), a plus. · Microsoft Office Suite, Internet, Outlook, and applicant tracking applications experience, required. · Strong verbal, written, and customer service skills, required. · Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task, required.
