Installation Engineer
*Job Description *
* Ensure the best practice methods are used on projects.
* Keep abreast of new technologies and latest developments in the industry to use them for improving the execution of projects.
* Assist in the development of installation guidelines, check lists and standard work instructions to leverage best practices.
* Routinely interacts with clients, customers, officials, contractors, and others.
* Prepare installation / construction scope of work, method statement and Material Requisition / Service Requisition documents, as required for installation of SURF equipment.
* Review/Assist the project team with developing the offshore schedule.
* Prepare project specific procedures as produced by installations team (including installation procedures, task plans, lift plans, rigging designs and story boards) and support offshore executions.
* Provide Input/Review for SURF and SPS equipment design with installation mindset.
* Provide Input/Review for installation aid and ancillary designs and guide assessment and selection of subcontractors/suppliers for the procurement of installation aids (rigging, etc.).
* Coordinate internal and external technical interfaces with project team, vessel/platform personnel, client and third-party members and report on status of work, potential delays, problems, etc.
* Ensure as-built documentation is received and review / approve project close-out reports including lessons learnt, as-built schedule/installation activity duration.
* Review Cost, Time & Resource (CTR) estimates, as produced by others, for relevant scopes for FEED / Tenders.
*You are meant for this job if:*
* Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent (Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer-in-training (EIT) preferred).
* Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in offshore / subsea industry with a background and hands-on experience in SURF installation, vessel, and platform operations.
* Ability to obtain a TWIC, passport, VISAs, and medical certifications such as BOSIET, UKOA and/or OGUK.
* Experience with engineering, planning and executing SURF installation scope on large FEED and EPCI projects.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $107,000.00 per year
