We design, develop, and manufacture advanced products for ground, maritime, and airborne applications.We are seeking an exceptional Electronics Assembler. The successful candidate will have electronics and mechanical manufacturing experience and will be proficient in soldering, mechanical assembly, and epoxy potting. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembly of an advanced electro-mechanical product to AS9100 standards. This position can be filled at either Level I or Level 2 depending on the candidate’s skills and experience.This is an on-site role located in Torrance, CA.Responsibilities:Solder electronic componentsPerform prototype assembly per drawings and specificationsPerform production assembly, testing, and inspectionPerform board level programming and testing using automated test fixturesMaintain material inventory with proper paperwork and electronic records per established AS9100 proceduresPerform kitting of production projectsRequirements:Level I1-3 years in high-tech manufacturing/production environmentExperience with printed circuit board assembly and testing, electrical harness production, ESD control, and handling optical components are a plusGood soldering skills (SMT, through-hole, and harnessing)Good understanding of soldering work standards (IPC-A-610/J-STD-001)Understanding of inventory control in an electronics production environmentMust be capable of following assembly procedures and drawings to perform mechanical system integration, as well as follow test procedures to perform functional testingHigh School Diploma with 1-3 years in high-tech manufacturing/production environmentAssociate’s degree in Electronics with 1-3 years of experience or vocational training with 1-3 years of experience is a plusLevel IIExperience with printed circuit board assembly, electrical harness production, ESD control, and handling optical components are a plusGood soldering skills (SMT, through-hole, and harnessing)Good understanding of soldering work standards (IPC-A-610/J-STD-001)Must be capable of following assembly procedures and drawings to perform mechanical system integration, as well as follow test procedures to perform functional testingAssociate degree in Electronics with 4-5 years of experience or vocational training with 6-8 years of experience in high-tech manufacturing/production environmentSkillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to commit and work under deadlinesMust be able to work in a challenging and engaging work environment that promotes teamwork, creativity, accountability, and professional developmentCurrent IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 certification is a plusPlease note: Job responsibilities within our organization are dynamic.
