Code Ninja Sensei (Coding Instructor for Children)
## Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Code Ninja Sensei to join our team. As a Code Ninja Sensei, you will be responsible for teaching coding skills to children in a fun and engaging way. If you have a background in childhood development, education, and a love for technology, this role is perfect for you.
## Responsibilities
Work with children to build and play their own games
Create a positive and safe environment in which students can grow
Coach and mentor kids in coding and STEM curriculum, including JavaScript, C#, Unity, block-based languages, Minecraft, and more.
Complete training courses for our proprietary curriculum
Provide feedback to parents on student progress
Perform extra duties as needed, including organizing and maintaining center equipment and facilities
Report as needed to Center Director or lead instructor with respect to day’s activities, efficiency & productivity in classroom
## Skills
Leadership skills: demonstrated ability to supervise, organize, or lead within work groups
Looking for individuals who seek ways to contribute rather than waiting to be told
Coding and technology skills: knowledgeable about, or willingness to learn, introductory concepts in JavaScript, C#, and Unity. Skills in Minecraft, Roblox, robotics, or 3D printing a plus Education/childcare experience: demonstrated experience with children ages 7-14 in babysitting, childcare, mentoring, coaching, tutoring, etc.
Looking for individuals that can work patiently with children of differing learning styles and abilities, including neurodivergent learners Works well with others; enjoys collaboration and teamwork
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Must be fun, and able to help our ninjas have fun too!

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.50 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 15 per week
