This role requires individuals who take ownership of their work, operate with efficiency, and maintain a high standard of quality and professionalism on every job.This position is a hands-on solar panel electrician role working directly on customer homes throughout New York State. Our electricians are responsible for neatly mounting conduit on residential homes, performing AC and DC wiring, installing and commissioning inverters, working with rapid shutdown systems and combiner boxes, and completing tie-ins and service work.The work is performed onsite at customer residences, primarily outdoors and in varying weather conditions throughout the year.Our crews start at early each day and jobs are scheduled Monday through Friday, with end times varying depending on the scope and location of the project. Because Empire Solar services customers across all of New York State, some projects will be close to home and others will require more extensive travel.This is a year-round opportunity with consistent work available in every season — there is no “slow season” for our installation teams.
