Safety Manager
As the Construction Safety Manager, you will play a critical leadership role in creating, promoting, and maintaining a proactive safety culture across all project sites. This position goes beyond compliance, it's about building trust, driving behavioral safety, and ensuring that every worker returns home safely each day. You will act as a strategic advisor and hands-on leader, working closely with project teams, subcontractors, and senior leadership to implement robust safety protocols, ensure regulatory compliance, and continuously identify opportunities for safety improvements. Through training, audits, and direct site engagement, you will shape safety standards that exceed minimum requirements and elevate overall project performance. This is a highly visible, high-impact role requiring strong technical knowledge, people skills, and an unwavering commitment to safety excellence.Key ResponsibilitiesLead Jobsite Safety Operations: Serve as the primary safety authority on-site, conducting daily inspections, enforcing safety protocols, and responding to incidents with urgency and professionalism.Develop and Implement Safety Programs: Lead the creation and execution of comprehensive site-specific safety plans, ensuring alignment with OSHA regulations, company policies, and client expectations.Train and Educate Teams: Deliver engaging safety training sessions, toolbox talks, and onboarding orientations to ensure all personnel understand and adhere to safety procedures.Collaborate with Project Stakeholders: Partner with project managers, field supervisors, and subcontractors to address safety concerns, conduct risk assessments, and drive continuous improvement.Monitor Compliance and Regulatory Updates: Stay current with evolving local, state, and federal safety regulations. Proactively update safety procedures and ensure consistent compliance across all job sites.Investigate and Resolve Incidents: Lead root cause analyses of safety incidents and near misses. Develop corrective action plans and implement preventive measures to avoid recurrence.Maintain Accurate Safety Documentation: Oversee the preparation and organization of safety logs, inspection reports, training records, and compliance documentation.Promote a Culture of Safety: Champion behavioral-based safety practices and lead by example to foster a zero-incident work environment built on trust, accountability, and transparency.Provide Technical Support: Leverage technical expertise in hazard identification, PPE use, and job hazard analysis to support construction activities safely and efficiently.Respond to Emergency Situations: Be available after hours or weekends as needed to address emergencies, conduct incident investigations, or support time-sensitive project safety needs.May perform other duties as assigned.Physical DemandsAbility to climb stairs, ladders, and navigate active construction sitesRegularly required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawlMay lift and/or move up to 50 poundsVisual abilities required: close vision, depth perception, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focusWork EnvironmentPrimarily on-site at active construction projectsExposure to moving machinery, heights, fumes, airborne particles, weather elements, and electrical hazardsNoise levels range from moderate to very loudReasonable accommodation will be made as needed for qualified individuals with disabilitiesQualifications3–5 years of construction health & safety experience, with direct training and consultationStrong knowledge of environmental, health, and safety (EHS) standards and construction regulationsOSHA 30-hour certification required; OSHA 500/510/511 certifications preferredExperience in OSHA outreach training is a plusAdvanced communication and presentation skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)Ability to read and interpret construction documents, specifications, and schedulesDemonstrated leadership and the ability to work independently or in a team settingStrong organizational and time management skillsWhy 3C Industries?At 3C Industries, we’re committed to building with purpose, that includes investing in our team.
