Snelling is searching for exceptional Welders (manual and robotic) in the Trussville, AL area! 1st and 2nd shift openings, with overtime! The pay rate for this position is $22.00-28.00/hr.Overall Responsibility for Welder:Fitting & welding parts using information from production drawings, shop travelers & work instructions as required utilizing MIG welder, fixtures, and basic welding tools to meet print specifications.Responsible for setting appropriate welding machine parameters for the material being welded.Responsible for making welds to meet print specifications.Responsible for producing strong penetrated welds that are smooth, non-porous, and consistent.Basic operation of robotic weld cell as assignedVerifies conformance of finished part to print specifications and quality standards.Skills and Experience needed for Welder:Knowledge of welding processes and equipment.Ability to weld vertical, flat, and overhead.Ability to operate acetylene torches.Math skills including metric system and angles.Ability to read tape measures and angle finders.Ability to read blueprint drawings and AWS weld symbols.Ability to operate forklifts and overhead cranes.Ability to lift 50 pounds.3+ years of welding experience or vocational school training.All qualified Welder candidates please submit resumes for immediate review.
