As a not-for-profit entity, we are situated 2.5 hours north of New York City in Binghamton, NY.We are currently seeking a Fellowship-trained Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in Hand Surgery to join our expanding UHS Orthopedics team. This practice benefits from a robust regional referral network and boasts a well-established primary care team within our organization to support our specialists. Our current team includes three joint surgeons focused on knee, hip, and shoulder procedures, a hand surgeon, two sports medicine surgeons, a fellowship-trained trauma surgeon, two non-operative sports medicine physicians, and two physiatrists. UHS Orthopedics actively promotes the integration of Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) to enhance patient care, supported by exceptional clinical and administrative staff to optimize daily operations. The practice operates from a modern, state-of-the-art facility that includes a large Physical Therapy department, as well as Podiatry, Chiropractic, and Rheumatology services, facilitating a multidisciplinary approach to patient treatment.There are opportunities available for teaching residents and medical students from Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, engaging in the education of the UHS sports medicine fellow, and participating in clinical research initiatives. We offer a competitive starting salary ranging from $650,000 to $800,000, along with an attractive benefits package that includes a sign-on bonus, relocation expenses, malpractice insurance, and a comprehensive array of employment benefits, including a strong retirement plan.Established in 1981 through the merger of three community hospitals, our organization employs over 6,000 individuals.
