Job Title: Senior Accountant – AR & General Accounting (Mandarin Preferred)Industry: Manufacturing / Solar EnergyDepartment: Finance & AccountingReports To: Accounting ManagerPosition SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support both Accounts Receivable (AR) and general accounting functions in a growing manufacturing company within the solar energy sector. Mandarin Chinese language skills are preferred to facilitate communication with global teams, customers, and vendors. The ideal candidate brings a strong mix of AR ownership, month-end close experience, and the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn full-cycle Accounts Receivable: invoicing, cash application, collections, and aging managementManage customer billing, Monitor AR aging and drive collections and reduce past-due balancesReconcile AR subledger to the general ledger and resolve discrepanciesLead/support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processesPrepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statementsSupport cost accounting, including inventory tracking, cycle count, and variance analysisPartner with sales, operations, and supply chain teamsMaintain and improve internal controls and accounting processesIdentify opportunities for automation and process improvementsPrepare ad hoc reports as neededQualificationsBachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field4–7+ years of accounting experience with a mix of AR and general accountingMandarin Chinese language skills preferred (not required)Experience in manufacturing, solar, renewable energy, or project-based industries preferredStrong knowledge of GAAP and financial reportingExperience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle)Advanced Excel skills (data analysis, reconciliations, reporting)Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skillsKey CompetenciesOwnership and accountabilityAttention to detail and accuracyCross-functional collaborationAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentContinuous improvement mindset
