PowerBuilder Developer - Remote within North Carolina

PowerBuilder Developer Location: RemoteDuration: 12 months contractThe North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) is seeking a Technical Specialist contractor analyst/designer/developer for a 12-month engagement for the Engineering Application Services Department (EAS) to enhance and maintain a mission-critical application for the department called HiCAMS.HiCAMS is a custom, client-server, PowerBuilder application used to track work, materials and payments on North Carolina Division of Highways Construction projects. We also have many Java, C++, and asp.net/C# interfaces with various internal and external systems that need to be maintained and enhanced. Additionally, there is a list of new interfaces and web applications tied to HiCAMS that our clients want to have developed in the coming years.The initial assignments will be to analyze/design/code/test data windows to replace approximately 200 sample test result spreadsheet formats that were coded using an outdated 3rd party software tool. Additional work will involve analyzing/designing/coding/testing bug fixes and other functional enhancements to the system and its interfaces.This individual should have practical experience with standard development life cycle, including requirements gathering, analysis, design, development, unit & system testing, quality assurance testing as well as experience with business process transformation.
