We meet people where they are—providing practical tools, community connection and direct funding—while working to dismantle stigma and systemic barriers to care, domestically and internationally.By uniting the global diabetes community across all types, backgrounds and geographies, we’re changing what it means to live with diabetes and creating a path to a world beyond it. Role Purpose and SummaryBeyond Type 1 is seeking a highly motivated, forward-thinking Master’s-level intern to partner directly with executive leadership to accelerate the organization’s adoption of artificial intelligence.This is not a traditional internship. You will act as an internal AI strategist—evaluating tools, identifying opportunities, and enabling leaders to integrate AI into their day-to-day work in meaningful, practical ways.You will work 1:1 with executives to understand their workflows, identify inefficiencies, and implement AI-driven solutions that enhance productivity, decision-making, and impact.What You’ll DoAI Strategy & AssessmentPartner directly with executive leaders to understand workflows, priorities, and pain pointsIdentify high-impact opportunities to integrate AI into leadership and operational processesEvaluate and compare AI tools (e.g., generative AI, automation, analytics tools) based on organizational needsRecommendation & Executive AlignmentDevelop a clear, actionable AI strategy and tool recommendationsBuild and deliver a final presentation to executive leadership outlining:Recommended tools and use casesExpected impact and ROIRisks, limitations, and governance considerationOperational DesignCollaborate with Operations and cross-functional teams to:Define usage parameters and guardrailsEstablish best practices and workflowsEnsure alignment with data privacy, security, and organizational policiesImplementation & EnablementLead initial implementation of selected AI toolsCreate simple, practical training materials tailored to executive usersDeliver hands-on training sessions to enable adoption and confidenceProvide real-time coaching and troubleshooting supportWhat You’ll Deliver (End of Internship)AI opportunity assessment across executive workflowsExecutive-ready AI strategy presentationRecommended tool stack with rationaleDefined usage guidelines and operational guardrailsImplemented pilot use casesTraining materials and enablement sessions for leadershipQualifications & SkillsCurrently enrolled in MBA program at NYU Stern or Columbia MBA Strong understanding of AI tools and trends (especially generative AI and productivity tools)Ability to translate technical concepts into simple, practical applications for non-technical stakeholders in ambiguous environmentProven ability working effectively with senior leadersPreferred SkillsExperience implementing AI tools in real-world settingsExperience implementing workflow automation tools (Zapier, APIs, integrations, etc.)Exposure to or training in change management or organizational transformationExperience creating training materials or facilitating workshopsWhat You’ll GainHands-on experience driving AI transformation in a real organizationOpportunity to build a tangible, portfolio-ready project with measurable impactMentorship and visibility with senior leadershipDirect exposure to executive decision-makingProgram Logistics Session: Summer 2026Commitment: 40 hours per weekCompensation: $30-45 per hour based on program year and relevant experienceFully remote role based in the US
