Please review the job details below.Intuitive Machines - West is seeking an Associate Software Engineer to support our AI initiatives, including the development and expansion of Large Language Models (LLM)-powered applications and related infrastructure. This role will focus on building integrations and deploying AI solutions in an AWS environment. This role can be based in Mountain View, CA or remotely in the US.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in integrating and indexing legacy enterprise applications and databases with LLM applicationsSupport deployment and management of AI/ML solutions using AWS Bedrock in AWS GovCloud environmentsHelp implement secure, compliant AI infrastructure meeting aerospace and government requirementsMonitor, troubleshoot, and improve AI system performance and reliabilityCollaborate with IT, security, and business teams to identify AI use casesDocument architectures, APIs, and deployment proceduresRequired QualificationsMust be a US Citizen or permanent residentBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fieldCoursework or project experience in Python and at least one other programming language (Java, Scala, C++, etc.)Foundational knowledge of relational databases and SQLUnderstanding of network protocols and concepts (TCP/IP, HTTP, REST APIs)Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) through coursework or personal projectsUnderstanding of LLM concepts and AI/ML fundamentalsExperience with version control systems (Git)Preferred QualificationsInternship or co-op experience in software developmentCoursework or projects involving AWS servicesFamiliarity with PostgreSQL or other relational databasesKnowledge of LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar LLM orchestration frameworksExperience with Docker or containerization conceptsExperience with CI/CD pipelines or DevOps practicesFamiliarity with build tools (Gradle, Maven, etc.)Personal or academic projects demonstrating AI/ML applicationsInterest in aerospace, defense, or regulated industriesStrong problem-solving and debugging skillsExcellent communication and documentation skillsIn support of pay transparency at Lanteris Space Systems, we disclose salary ranges on all U.S. job postings. The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the salary range provided below and is determined based on job-related factors, including, but not limited to, the experience, qualifications, knowledge, skills, geographic work location, and market conditions. Candidates with the minimum necessary experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skillsets for the position should not expect to receive the upper end of the pay range.The base pay for this position within Colorado is: $66,000.00 - $111,000.00 annually.The base pay for this position within New Jersey is: $66,000.00 - $111,000.00 annually.The base pay for this position within Delaware is: $66,000.00 - $111,000.00 annually.The base pay for this position within California is: $77,000.00 - $128,000.00 annually.For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, health and welfare insurance, and 401(k) to eligible employees.
