Position Title: Senior Java Backend EngineerLocation: Mclean, VA (5 Days Onsite) Position Overview:We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and support scalable Multifamily application platforms and cloud-native services. This role is focused on hands-on engineering across Java-based microservices, event-drivendistributed systems, APIs, MongoDB, AMQ, Kubernetes, AWS, CI/CD automation, and production-grade backend capabilities that are secure, resilient, observable, and aligned with business needs.Must Have:7–8+ years of software engineering experienceStrong hands-on Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs & MicroservicesExtensive AWS experience with cloud-native, event-driven distributed systemsKubernetes experienceMongoDB + SQL/relational databasesAMQ / messaging platforms and asynchronous/event-driven architectureCI/CD pipelines and automated testingHands-on use of AI tools/practices for software engineeringStrong backend/API design, data modeling, security, performance & scalability experienceProduction support, debugging, monitoring, logging and root-cause analysisMortgage/financial services experience is a plusBachelor’s degree or equivalent experienceKey Technologies:Java | Spring Boot | Microservices | REST APIs | AWS | Kubernetes | MongoDB | AMQ | SQL | CI/CD | Automated Testing | Event-Driven Architecture | AI
